I saw a little article on it in a magazine, pretty neat. Never even dealer prepped.

I could tell by the way he was talking that he wasn't interested in keeping it. Hopefully it will go to someone who appreciates 3rd gens.

Boy it was killing me that they didn't hose that thing off and clean it... Wonder why the guy stored the car like that..

What would you do with a car like that?? Clean it and park it exactly like it was or heavily document all the factory stuff, remove it carefully, save it and drive it just on nice days..

I guess I would have to drive it just on nice days, keep the mileage down and enjoy it!! Thats the car I really wanted in high school other than my 69 Nova but I settled for an 89 Cavalier Z24 instead cause it was cheaper.. That was my first new car.. That little v6 rocked, would smoke the front tires... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

What is the thumbwheel contraption with the light (appears to be on the ceiling)?

That was back in the day when the government was going after company or business vehicles as a taxable fringe benefit. As I remember they were contending that unless you drove a private car to work and then picked up you company car for the day you could not claim the car 100% as a business expense. So for a couple of years you were required to log personal vs business mileage in order to claim the car. The wheels would help you keep track of the miles. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Too bad it's not a TPI car - mind you, they weren't available with a 5 speed yet in that year.

Cool video.

Did anyone notice the tow strap looked attaches to the differential and came under the muffler. They cut off the video just before the strap tightened.

I sold a 67 GT500 and when the fellow tied it down on the trailer he completely bent the exhaust. That was a sad day.

Looks like a Road Runner/GTX in front 1970?

Apparently the original purchaser did not intend to park the car when he bought it. One of the docs shown in the auction is an extended warranty (MIC). No reason to purcase an extended warranty if you are just going to park the car.

The guy in the video was wondering why the passenger side door didn't have the plastic on it.I can tell you why.I prepped many of these back in the day and most of them didn't have the right side plastic because the truck driver couldn't get in that side so why put plastic on it.Mostly it was just for that the truck driver.Anyone ever see what happens to a silver interior when a driver gets in a car with grease, dirt, snow,or mud on them. What a mess.
Pretty nice car but what is up with taking the wheels off of it?
