A guy over here happened to have a BE0306 rear axle on his Z/28. Car came to Sweden in 1976 and must have had that axle when it came here.
I suspect that this axle can bring some serious money.
So how much is the going rate for them today.

Could be the original to the car? Could be a 410 car that GM put the BE in it for what ever reason?
Should have no problem getting 10-12 K

Since it is a Z/28 it would have got a BV for 4.10 gears. Only COPO's got the BE. Since its history in Sweden is known it must have got the BE in its first years in the USA.

Has your PM box filled up yet. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Very desirable date 10 K is VERY strong money if the internals are not there. The housing is only 1/3 of the equation. Good Luck http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

I bought one back in feb this yr....housing only for 7K then you need to buy the COPO Carrier , ring and gears for the inside for another 4-5K , so you have 11K in one and it still needs restored (bearing, axles and detailing). Pretty easy math here :-)

I have a BE rear dated 05/24/69 and is complete minus the original heat treated gears. The rear is in excellent condition, all the markings are crisp and clear and everything is there. The only thing changed appears to be the 5:13 gears. This was purchased at a swap meet 12 years ago and has been stored since. I will sell this rear for $9500.00 or once I get the ring & pinion I will have it restored and then offer it again.
