For sale is my beautiful 1970 Trans Am with a RA III engine, M40 automatic transmission, and air conditioning.

This car came from one of the world’s largest private Pontiac collections and was featured with other Pontiacs from the collection in the July 2008 issue of Hot Rod Magazine. With about 70 cars in this private Pontiac collection, this was one of the few noted because of its condition and unique color combination. The car is white with blue stripes and red interior. The car has the original trim tag and PHS paperwork to verify the colors and options.

The car is believed to be an original 39,000 mile car and it has had one excellent repaint and had the red interior dyed. The interior is original aside from being freshened up.

The car was originally delivered to Edwardsville, IL and spent much of it’s life in Chicago, it still wears its 1977 Chicago City sticker in the original windshield as proof that it was driven sparingly over the past 30 years.

The car has never had any bodywork or rust and all panels are original as is the original spare, jack and air canister for inflating the spare.

The paint is in excellent shape with one door ding on the driver’s door below the beltline.
The driver’s door has the typical slight sagging, but it closes fine.

All glass and components are original including the engine (RA III), transmission (M40), and rear end (3:08).

All aspects of the car function aside from the clock. The air conditioning functions properly.

This car is stunning in its red, white and blue color scheme. It attracts attention wherever I take it. I understand that in 1970, Pontiac produced about 50 Trans Am’s in this color scheme. It is a unique vehicle.

I’m selling this Trans Am to make room for another vehicle and it’s priced at $40,000.

The chassis of this vehicle reflects the same care as the remainder of the car, there is no rust or corrosion. The original type exhaust has some corrosion on the bottom of the resonator.

Tim; what a great TA. Very unique. The photos just do not do this car justice. I have seen this car several times and been in for a nice ride as well. Whoever ends up with this TA will not be disappointed, it is stunning.

Nice car , fairly priced, and if you have driven one you'll see it is worth the money. In 1970 there were so many 1 off parts you can't imagine, very expensive to restore.

I first say this car in the Pontiac collection in Chicago. It stood out as a very fine mostly original car. When Tim gets a hold of a fine car, he makes it into a great car.

The interior dye job was something only a perfectionist would do!

I love the color combo, and '70 is the right year for a TA.
