SCW is pleased to announce the FIRST EVER "Solid Lifter Showroom" at GM Carlisle June 26th-28th. Carlise along with Super Car Workshop and the Super Car Registry have secured the outside dealership or "G building" and we are converting it into a 1969 Showroom, featuring everything from Z/28's to L-72's. COPO's Yenko's, DANA's Berger, etc will be all part of the weekend. Check out the GM at Carlisle website for more info and updates...BKH http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Super Cars! Super Cars!
A display of legendary Super Cars

Building G (by Gate 1) will be converted into the "Legendary Super Car Dealership" presented by the Super Car Workshop and sponsored by the Yenko Sportscar Club. You do NOT want to miss this simply awesome display of legendary super cars from “The Last Restoration Shop On Earth”! Check out some of the cars that will be on display at Yenko.net and in the pictures below. And speaking of super cars, rumor has it that one very special Chevy dealer will be delivering his first two super cars right here at the All-GM Nationals... How cool is that? Stay tuned for more details...

I still can't figure out why this GM show, is the same weekend as the Maryland Chevelle show, a fairly short distance from Carlisle. I'd like to attend this, but the Maryland show has had the same weekend for 20+ years. Too bad this can't be changed to one of the other 50 weekends.

Bill Rose, I've been hearing this for years now. This shouldnt be, and evidently the power that controls & plans the ACES schedule and the people at Carlisle, just dont care to negotiate a compromise.......

Carlisle Productions has repeatedly asked officers of the Maryland Chevelle Club to move the ACES Northeast Regional to their venue. I don't know many details regarding the negotiations though.

I attended the GM Nats two years ago because I had a Camaro to sell. A buddy drove his '96 Impala SS up too. It's a great show, but the Chevelle turnout is pretty pitiful.

This is going to be a truly amazing display. The showroom was filled in about two days. I will post what cars are coming soon along with pictures. There will be at least one brand new Super Car find that has to be one of the wildest cars discovered in years. It will arrive at SCW this week. This one is off the charts..BKH http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Jeff, The Solid Lifter Showroom is totally Brian's deal.

You'll have to communicate with BKH, to find out what if any options you may have.

Short of that I dont know if you'd want to be out on the "show field" amongst the masses

Please ask for me in the judging bldg or call my cell 206-226-6465.

I moved my mother last year to live in a home close to my sister in Annapolis, MD. I'll be flying in/out of Baltimore so as to visit with her on Thursday and Sunday after Carlisle.

See ya there.........

The Solid Lifter Showroom is in building "G" that is outside the grounds, but a Carlisle building. The Showroom is full, but we will be parking members cars outside the building, on the ramp inside, whatever it takes. As always I will do what I can to accommodate as many guys and gals as possible. This part of the show is totally free to my knowledge. I will find out the answer to that question at Ford Carlisle Friday..BKH http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif PS that yellow Camaro is one of my all time favorites...

It is at the intersection of Rt. 34, Clay St. and H St., Gate 1 is just up the street on the same side of Clay St. The new diner is right across from Gate 1 also. Gate 2 is at I ST. and Gate 3 is located at K ST. and RT.34, this is the main entrance to the show field and car corral that is usually open all night.

Has to be the old John Deere brick building. Never been in there but I'll bet it's very nostalgic. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

Speaking of nostalga, there was a time when things like this were not done by satilite. Here are some helpful directions from an airial view. Note they may be a little outdated.

The SLS6 crew would like to welcome Steve Fryes and his incredible Super Car memorabilia collection. Steve, or to many
"Big" will be featured in our showroom with many one of a kind and very rare Super Car era items that take years to acquire. Another great reason to visit SLS6 at Carlisle this year. Thanks Big...BKH

Tom and Eric Gardner will be attending SLS6, showing off their famous exhaust systems. I understand a chambered and deep tone system will be on display. This is a first at SLS, a top shelf vendor displaying their goods at the showroom. Thanks, Tom and Eric..BKH

Brian, thanks for the invite. Maybe I'll drive up for the day and show an Olds outside. I'm nearing completion on a frame-off '72 442 that is built to be a multi-purpose vehicle; show, race, drive. I'm changing some stuff on the race car so I can enter some races this year; couldn't do it last year due to my back surgery. I'm also trying to add another Olds to my small collection, and if all goes well, maybe THAT car might show up. I'll keep you informed as I know more details. I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of last year's event and look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Just 12 days away form the start of SLS 6, the Summer of '69 edition. The building will be filled once again with some of the rarest '69 GM cars ever produced. Steve Shauger and his team will be doing Vintage Certifications starting Thursday the 19th. The building will be open early Thursday for all entrants and spectators. VC cars are encouraged to arrive ASAP Thursday so your cars can be placed on the inside lift for undercarriage inspection. This will be critical since we cannot move cars inside starting Friday. There are a number of fresh restorations and first time seen cars this year as always. New for this year is the 40X100 outside tent area for overflow parking. This was created for guys that can only make it one or two days, and are still looking forward to being a part of the show. Also I am very happy to announce that Gardner Exhaust will be displaying their excellent systems in person. Our own 'Big' Steve will be on hand with his incredible Supercar era memorabilia collection. And as always SLS6 collector tee-shirts will be available at the show. Last years edition sold out by Friday. Anyone wishing to sign the official banner of SLS 6 will be able to. Sunday morning it will be given away to one lucky car owner as always.

In addition, author and historian Phil Borris will be on hand with copies of his book 'Echoes of Norwood'. He will be autographing his book, BUT at 1:00 Saturday he will be unveiling a recently discovered Norwood artifact that is sure to be a special part of SLS6.

I would like to thank all the participants, and the great help we receive from all involved. And of course GM Carlisle for giving us an incredible venue to show these wonderful cars and historical items. Without the guys and gals willing to help out, we would not be able to pull this off...BKH

This was the scene Monday June 16th at Carlisle prepping for Solid Lifter Showroom 6. As any veterans of the show can see, there has been plenty of outside parking spaces made available to us this year. The row of blue striped tents will be removed to grant easy access to the entry ramp into the building. Trailer parking will be much the same, but additional parking will be available to us inside the grounds for the expected overflow. The trailer unload procedure may be changed slightly from past years because of the tents, but it looks to be something that will not be to difficult. Please be patient with move in this year.

This year, the front showroom will be filled to capacity with the new for 1969 427 hi-performance models including the 435 Corvette, the factory 427 Chevelles and Camaros along with the fresh and exciting offerings form Dick Harrell and Don Yenko. Rounding out this years showroom are the L/78 Novas, Camaros and Chevelles some with the L/89 option and JL/8. Lets not forget the 302 Z/28's either. As always, expect a few surprises, and with the added tents outside more cars and owners than ever can participate.

Author Phil Borris will be on hand with his excellent book "Echoes of Norwood" and he will be unveiling a newly found Norwood artifact that has not been seen in decades Saturday at @ 1:00PM. Collector "Big" Steve Fryes will be displaying his dealership memorabilia collection that will keep the hardcore Chevy fans busy for hours. Steve Shauger and his Vintage Certification Team will be on hand judging the survivor cars, and will be available to answer questions all weekend. And an SLS first, Gardner Exhaust will be displaying their excellent systems and will be able to answer any of your exhaust system need, and perhaps fill a few new orders as well. Both Friday and Saturday 427 seminars will be taking place, with a Q and A and door prizes for the participants. Don't forget the 2014 SCW SLS6 edition tee-shirts sure to sell out . This shirt will be a sure sell out as always. Look forward to seeing everyone this weekend and drive safe..BKH

I would like to thank everyone who attended SLS 6. It is truly amazing to see a group of cars and people that care so much for the hobby. The "Summer of '69" collection was simple fantastic. The SLS Showroom really gives you the feel of a well stocked dealership from 1969. Everyone was so helpful and the show ran like clockwork. From set up, to tear down, not a hitch. The crowds were huge during the show, and everyone left with a smile. I want to thank all the car owners, our great guests like Phil Borris and his "Echoes of Norwood' display, Big Steve and is Memorabilia collection that had show goers fascinated with such a fine collection of rare dealer items, and Gardner Exhaust, our first vendor to display at SLS. The set up was made easier with the floor-plan designed by Jeff Murphy, and the SLS team of volunteers who moved cars most of the day Thursday. No word yet as to next years theme, but SLS 7 should once again be a highlight of the GM Carlisle experience...BKH

The Vintage Certification team would like to thank you for the invite and your support. The SLS was once again an amazing event which featured both restored and unrestored cars. At the end of the day it's all about seeing old friends and meeting new ones. We look forward to certifying more unrestored cars and seeing what new cars participate next year. The SLS display is always new and fresh which makes it a must see event. Congratulations <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif
