Was anyone from this board in attendance at Woodstock? I was 11 at the time and doing other things http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I later had a high school teacher who said he tried to get there but could only get within 20 miles of the place.

Nope, wasn't there. I was a junior in high school in 69. We had many Woodstock moments in the small town area where I was. The bands weren't as well know, but the effect was pretty similar. Fast cars, pretty ladies in mini skirts, lotta beer, and being young. If you hadn't had to worry about being drafted, and sent off to Nam, it was a great time.
I used to ocassionally go out with a fine young lady who was a big Joe Cocker fan. She used to announce his songs with a very loud Jooooe COCK er. And a fine young lady she was.

I was pumping gas on the NJ Turnpike that summer between college semesters. I had a ticket in my hand but decided to take my girlfriend to the shore that weekend instead http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif That's probably why she decided to marry me.... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Do you mean "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane, or is this something else? It's definitely a cool song. Love the vibe in it. Jack Casady is one of my favorite bass players as well.
