This Corvette has an original tank sticker to verify its 400hp Tri-Carb PG Pedigree.

Has anyone here ever seen the tank sticker for a 427-400 HP Corvette? They are very interesting and I actually had the pleasure of removing one recently from a one-owner, 31,000 original owner '67 car parked since 1976. Red with white/black interior, too! Anyway, it lists the 427-390 HP engine and then further down it lists something like "conversion to 400 HP". Now, a 427-435 HP car has no such 'conversion' statement on their tank stickers. Just a cool fact!

That wording is used on all the '67,'68,&'69 L-68 optioned Corvettes. Remember that the L-36, L-68 engines were the same except the marketing use of the tri-power carburation. These engines are referred to by GM as HP designation, not SHP as was used on the real hi-performance engines.
