Nice used Dixco hood tach. I do not know working condition but it has been in storage since the 1980's. Needle does bounce and is not stuck like you usually see them. On ebay with no reserve.

Thanks SYC

Well some jerk off decided to report my auction for "search and browse" manipulation. Which I did not violate since this tach is a universal piece. The only time I have ever had my auctions cancelled is when I list tachometers. I wish I knew who was flagging my tach auctions, I would kick the windshield of their vehicle in.

Sounds like it may be a competitive seller knocking you guys out of the running...why would anyone else bother?.

I looked. There is only one other Dixco tach listed at the moment.

have no idea, ours was a Dixson, not a Dixco ...

I called ebay and complained the 1st time, they said I couldn't list anything other than "universal"

so this is what I wrote the 2nd time:

So sorry about the other listing, someone decided we had included too many vehicles that this is CORRECT for and was marketed for so it was canceled. Boy, oh boy, did we learn our lesson. Yes maam Sister Mary Elephant. Our feet are flat on the floor and our hands are clenched on top of our desk ... please, no more yard sticks across our knuckles.

WOW! Another item from a local Estate. Near MINT lightly used correct ORIGINAL Dixson Inc Made in USA issued working day 2 aftermarket accessory vintage old school late 1950's, 60's and early 70's universal application coolant temperature gage as shown. SUPER RARE item. Includes vintage mounting plate and the sending unit is ~ 6 feet long as shown. This is a mechanical guage, not electric.

We had one of these in our 69 Camaro back in the day, it fit all Camaros, including the Super Sport and Z28. We KNOW it fit other GM products as well, they were marketed to work on a variety of different manufacturers cars and trucks from that period.

Then ebay had the balls to cancel it and say this:

"The purpose of the eBay Web site is to enable members to buy and sell
items from each other. Listings that don't offer an item for sale
through the site, or that are designed for any other purpose, aren't
permitted. In addition, sellers aren't permitted to state their
personal opinions and views in their listings."

un-fricken-believable http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif

So, according to that we are not allowed to rate the condition of used or new parts now ... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I had 3 auctions ended last week for search and browse manipulation. There was no problem with the ads. I called and asked why they were ended and got no explaination or apologies. The girl did say they were wrong and my fees had already been refunded. She told me whe fees are always refunded unless it is a special circumstance.

I was at a swapmeet two weeks ago and ebay called my cell phone to ask if I knew why they ended my listing..they have always called the next day to follow up on my boo boo's.

I had one of my auction canceled because I used an illegal form of payment. When I asked what it was I was told that a Bank Wire Transfer was not a proven or acceptable form of payment" I sent back and email telling the joker to check Ebay's own guidelines... it was bizarre

I may have mentioned this one before...but my most memorable experience with eBay was when I had bought an item off them and it showed up as a piece of junk and when I sent eBay an email telling them about this issue, they sent me a "canned" response stating "this transaction did not take place through eBay..." and this was even when I included the eBay item # and Paypal transaction #....what a JOKE!
