Hi Guys,

I am looking for some sort of unrestored muscle car. I am considering '69/'70 Z28 or SS Camaros, '69/'70 SS Chevelles and '68-'70 Nova SS.

I do not care about color combination. The only criteria I am looking for is a born with original motor, trans, rear, some form of authenticating paperwork, and minimal rust (a spotless body is ideal). Original paint on 75% of the car and a non-ruffled engine compartment work for me.

I'm really open to anything...

Thanks guys!
-Dan

Would you consider a black/black RS Z28? The car does not have original engine, or tranny, however scored legend status at the Camaro Nationals. It has better than 90% original paint, all original interior including original carpet, and the motor is a non stamped perfectly dated DZ. When judged they said it was as close to being correct as one could be without actually having the original. It does not fit your description exactly, but I figure it was worth a mention.

Thanks for the heads up guys.

Chris, I will look into the car through Stefano thanks. William, sounds like an awesome Z, but I'm a numbers guy.

Still looking...

Thanks,
Dan

Hey Dan, how about a 1969 L78 Chevelle SS automatic, chassis and motor are all done, NOS sheetmetal. Sorry, I forgot you have a green car already.

If the selling price includes an M22, done deal. But really Thomas, you need to get that car done!

Are there any more pictures of this car? Mine is exactly like this and was wondering if the two cars are close togher.

Still looking... would consider project mid-year Corvette Coupes or '70 LT1 Coupes/Converts...

'71 Chevelle SS454 cars too... I'm open to anything original, even a project that needs some sort of finishing or refinishing.

thanks,
Dan

Dan:

A friend of mine was recently made the executor of a local estate and asked me to come and appraise a copule of Corvettes for him. One is a 1966 L79 Coupe real deal 900 Black/Black car. It has it's original engine, carb, distributor, alternator, radiator, etc. It's a 74,xxx mile car that appears to be original paint. It was too dusty and dirty to be certain. I will have more info. on the car in a week or two. Let me know if you're interested. Ed

Hi John thanks! It seems like a very nice car for the automatic crowd. I am being picky on the transmission for sure.

What about Colin's '67 GTO? It's not exactly original paint, but there is a cure for that.

Dan...Take a look at my 69 L78 Chevelle in the "members rides" and see if it meets your criteria. I am considering letting go of it.

Now THAT's how you want to find a car: original and dirty. I'd take that over someone else's resto job any day!
