OK, so what am I missing on this one? I've been thinking of trading my '70 Corvette for something with 4 seats and this Chevelle looks nice. Is it bogus???

Hey Zedder , what are you looking for ? Maybe we can work out a swap for the Vette !I know it would have to be mint!

Hi Bob, I don't have anything too specific in mind really. It's just that I have the two seater Z06 and was thinking about getting something with a back seat for the family. I would want something really clean, but it wouldn't have to be as clean as the '70 since I would want to drive it and I have to admit that I am nervous driving the '70 given that it has had a frame-off resto. If you have something in mind, drop me an email. You can see some pics of the '70 here...

How come there is no plant letter code in the VIN stamp on the pad...I thought all the VIN stamps were done like this:

10Wxxxxxx

This one has an 8 where the letter usually is...is this a Chevelle only thing...???

That's a fairly common occurence for Baltimore built Chevelles. I just ran into another one like that at the Jefferson swap meet today.

Thanks BJ...I have returned the PM.

A few others have PM'd me also, if something doesn't materialize in the next two weeks, I'll place an ad in the for sale section with better pics etc. (the car is still stored away for the winter). For those who asked, I place the value at US$50K at a minimum - which is very close to what I have in it (with reciepts). This is a Top Flight and Duntov quality car. I can give a break on the exchange rate for Canadians since I bought the car at a lower exchange rate than what we are paying currently. Thanks for the interest http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
