Remember the late 60s-early 70s cop show Adam-12? I used to watch that every week as a little kid in the 70s.
I just found it on Hulu. If you haven't tried Hulu, it's a great site to catch t.v. shows and movies that you might have missed.
Adam-12 is particularly interesting for car guys, since it was filmed in the heyday of muscle cars. Their story lines were actually pretty interesting too.
Here's a link to one episode I just watched that dealt with a ring of car thieves who were using young girls in mini-skirts to lure guys into giving them a ride in their new cars, only to have them stolen. Look at the Lamp on the table when they bust in the room where they were smoking pot. Nice Red/Red 1970 Challenger Convertible!
Check it out.... this is classic

I grew up watching this program. I also watched Station 51.

Looked like a '70 Challenger RT, red on red, with the rally gauges. Nice ride.

Adam 12 was my favorite show when I was growing up.

In fact, I would watch just about every cop show that was shot in cars and showed other cars.

To this day I always remembered them pulling over a car, looking like for no reason, & finding it to be stolen. Kent says to Martin,"What tipped you off?" Martin says,"Bugs on the license plate, only a front plate would look like that."

For some reason I never forgot that. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

We were just talking about these shows the other night. What was the name of the cop shows that used the white or silver 4-door Plymouths that had the real small hood scoops and Crager wheels? Classics!

Sideburns, Disco Boots and Lacquer paint........I loved it. I swear when I saw this thing was going to run 25 minutes I wasn't going to watch it all but I was mistaken.

Life was simple then. Cars were always clean, uniforms were always pressed and sexy is still sexy.

The first link didn't work for me. Said it couldn't be found but the others did. I had no idea it was on Hulu! I have some catching up to do.

I loved Adam 12 as a kid and I found out they are on DVD as well. I have season 2. Great cars. Thats the whole reason I watched any shows growing up. If it had cars I was watching it.

Really enjoyed watching that. Brought back memories of watching TV with my Dad when I was a boy. Great times for sure.

My Dad & I were avid watchers of this back then too.
I vividly remember the episode were a badly beaten up & solo Pete Malloy,(Martin Milner) had his squad car flip over and fall into a hidden revine. His partner Reed,(Kent McCord),was able to locate him slowly during the night after no one else could by a barely conscious Milner hearing Reeds voice over the police radio,(searching while in another squad car),touched his two bare wire microphone wires together to call out to him,(static crack)...one for yes,two for no,to answer Reeds percise questions..At the same time, thugs were listening on a police scanner and closing in on the wounded Milner to do him harm and pilage his weapons etc....But Reed got to him first, thanks to Milners directions.
Classic!

I remember that one also! That was the only one that it seemed like the bad guys just might win. I remember sitting on the edge of the sofa watching that one.

That is the all-time most popular Adam 12 episode according to the statisticians. It's called "The Search". For you continuity buffs, watch how Malloy is chasing the bad guys in a '71 Plymouth Satellite, and then "rolls" a '68 or '69 Satellite....

here's a link to the episode:

Rick, if we are on the same wavelength, you are thinking of a show called "Chase" that featured a 4 door hyped out Plymouth Satellite sedan with a hood scoop.

Todays episode features a 66 Shelby in a couple of scenes.
