My Weiand Fly Eye air cleaner has two holes on the bottom that if left unplugged would allow unfiltered air directly into the carb. Witness marks on the bottom indicate that only one of the holes was ever plugged. I still have one of the plastic plugs manufactured by "Lynx".

Why were these holes there with the option to leave them plugged or not? Was it for a PCV hook up (on a performance air cleaner)? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Thanks. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Thanks Bud,

But, you are only embarrassing yourself trying to imitate a "new yorker twang" being from WA and all http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif .
Now, speaking of embarrassment http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif , I use the term "fly-eye" to refer to performance a/c that look like the eyes of a fly. Is that a proprietary term? Sure looks like a fly-eye to me from this angle... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

BTW, the one on the top is the air cleaner...
