Anyone familiar with a 69 COPO Camaro located in the Midwest - burnished brown, parchment top and green interior project car for sale? Supposed to be #'s matching and totally apart for paint and resto.

Any feedback or input is appreciated.

May be a different car but wasn't there a #'s matching project w/ Burnished Brn & Vinyl top Cowl Tag that was a rebody discussed here in the past?.

That's where I saw it. I've exchanged a couple of e-mails with the owner and was wondering if anyone maybe new of the car.

I'll probably give him a call later to get the rest of the story. Will post what I hear.

My curiousity finally got the best of me and I called about the car.

Does the name Dennis Tuttle ring a bell with anyone here? COPO is supposed to be a Canadian car and probably sold today. Also says he has some Z/28s that will be up for sale shortly.

Will post more if he calls back.

Be careful with Tuttle. If you talk to him, let him know he still owes me $5,000 from the judgement on the Judge.

Deep inside it seemed like that the name and story sounded familiar. If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is. He mentioned that all of the cars he's selling have GM of Canada docs, so buyer beware (even the COPO apparently).

I have his new number in the northwoods if you want it. Drop me a PM and I will set you up with the ripoff hotline.

Otherwise, I may just post it here for concerned citizens.

You know, this type of practice really infuriates me. A) It makes me incredibly distrustful of even people who are no deserving of such behavior, and B) essentially this guy is a thief.

How on earth is this guy not in jail? Or even moreso, how has someone not beaten him to within an inch of his life?

If anyone deserves it, it's scum like him.

The ad for the COPO is gone now, so either a fool and his money parted ways or Tuttle got nervous.

Here's his new Minnesota #763-516-6155 for anyone looking for him.

I first had learned about this guy a few years ago claiming he had 3 ls6 converts. Rick quickly filled me in on him. I got a pm from a member about the copo and when I called I realized who i was talking to. A friend of a friend was dealing on some stuff and the friend asked me about him and I said stay away. The frineds friend kept dealing with him and as he got more comfortable he started buying some cars. The last car he purchased from him had no title and he was going to get him one. Big mistake! He now is unable to get ahold of him and is stuck with a car with no title.
