That's a 68, I think. Definitely not a 69. Also a later version, as it does not have the groove around tip.

I have a '69 Impala with an original antenna, not sure if it is the same as the Camaro but is similar in appearance from the few pics or original 69 Camaro antenna's. Anyone got any pics of what I am looking for?

You are correct as the Impala antenna does not but it is close enough until I find the correct one!!

Gm had 3 suppliers for antennas in 69 2 of those companies had the groove at the top of the mast and 1 company I think it was autronics DID NOT have the groove at the top of the mast, believe me I have done some research on this, so it is acceptable to have either with or without groove at the top of the mast in my opinion. and yes you are correct Dru. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Can anyone confirm if Adell Mfg.was one of the suppliers of these antennas?

Rick, I wrote down all 3 vendors somewhere, if I heard there names I would recognize them, I do not recall Adell being one of them. Doug http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Can't speak to Impala, but Camaro definitely was not screw-in type in 69.

Thats not the only thing in your hand Doug... There was three main suppliers for antenna's on all GM models were Ward, Tenna and Autronics. I dont know which one made the smooth one but two of them made it with the groove. Mark

I was just informed that someone is reproducing the correct antenna assembly for the '69 Camaro, not sure if it has the groove in the top or not. I ordered one just to confirm and will let ya'll know what it looks like.
