Went to Lake Cascade and stayed at a State Park called Huckleberry. On the water rv spot.

Beautiful scenery. I was an avid camper until my daughter got to that "age" when I stopped going. Annie and I were invited to a campground Friday night by some friends and I was able to convince Annie and Hollywood to go. Both had a GREAT time and she actually admitted she would enjoy going camping provided we had a Camper or Minihome to go in and NO tent. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif That is better than the last time we discussed it when the Holiday Inn was the only option. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Rick,

There are some great deals out there on older used mini motor homes. We got this one off of Craig's List in Oregon for 5k. It is 22' long (easy to drive), and has a 4.0 Onan Generator, added rear air bags, an awning, laminate flooring, furnace heating, over head AC, full kitchen with sink, 4 burner gas stove, gas oven, microwave, and a large fridge and freezer. It is powered with a 351w Ford v8, on a one ton Ford Chassis. Sleeps 5. Full bathroom with shower. Heated tank, grey and black holding tanks, fresh water tank, and 30 amp service cord if you get to a place to hook up. Other wise run the propane for the fridge and hot water. You can't beat it for the money. Just get in and explore. Cheaper than pricey vacations IMO.
