Broken into..The shop was robbed!!!

At my home nothing of mine is sacred, Im sure a few others have this problem, so three years ago I got a 5000 square foot shop for my cars parts and toys, I call it my sanctuary, Well Tuesday afternoon I decided to go to the shop and mess with the cars for a while, I walked in nothing out of place all seemed normal, I then noticed a foot print in some body work dust I had swept into a pile the night before, I thought to myself I didn't do that first thing I did was walk to all the doors they were locked and I didn't notice any thing gone, so I check things out a little more and find nothing gone http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif I then go to the fridge and open it up now the real crime comes out a new case of my favorite beverage gone http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif out of everything that is in that place they took my beer....Well I found the faulty lock and door they got into and fixed the problem, and off to the store I went http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif I guess in the long run Im real happy kids today are not into the things I was at their age, or I really would have something to cry over.

Becareful they don't come back.I have a friend who had a similar situation.Two weeks later they came back for EVERYTHING.
He was beside himself that morning when he called the Police.
The Sgt. said they see this happen all the time and said they were telegraphing you they'd be back..

Great you've made it through without loosing precious stuff but it may be best to take it as a warning to get your site more secure in case the beer bandits start blabbing about what they saw to their cronies?.
S/S Latch blocker plates are cheap to help evade outswing doors from being pryed open also cheapo child alert alarms that hang on the doorknobs may scare 'em off for the interim then if you're not going w/ an alarm co. monitoring system, consider a Detex brand or other commercial type hard wired or battery powered units available at Locksmith shops and elsewhere..

I did a little work on the place this afternoon, I welded up some bar supports for the two rear doors, Those doors will never open from the outside without removing them!! there is one front entry door I added another dead bolt to it, I figure they did it at night I realized my mag light was gone today, They had no clue they are just kids and I have a good idea who it was, The heads that came off beater are a set of 074, I just rebuilt them ready to burn they were sitting on a shelf in the storage room about 12 inches from the fridge door and they didn't take them... My building was condemned by the state a year ago they built a High School behind me and want the property for parking, I have spotted a couple kids behind there and have a good idea who it is, I guess worst case I need to spend more time there I might just get a little more done....
