I'm looking to purchase cheater slicks that are DOT and have that time period correct look for 1966 . I have a 66 Biscayne 2 door post that I want to have a Day 2 look. Any advice, pics or suppliers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Thanks Mike. I was hoping to find cheater slicks that are not re-caps. I appreciate the link and those have the side wall look I'm looking for!

I do not care for the recaps the side wall says Michelin Goodyear etc because they are just a newer tire case and look like it. A friend of mine has a pair that dry rotted in a few months? not sure why, Are you looking for the early 50 early 60's type Pie-Crust style side wall? http://www.dragracetires.com/content/firestone-dragster-cheater-slicks.html
If you are looking for the late 60's 800-850 cheeter slicks used in S/ Class (non pie-crust) they are still made by M&H under number mnh-mvd-006 for the 800-850-14 cant remember the 15" number.

Hurst offers to grind any side walls smooth for a small fee. These are re-caped on modern radials and work very well. No problems at all with these tires..BKH

http://www.radirwheels.com/contents.htm Check out Radir slicks. Made by Micky Thompson for Radir and are totally brand new casings. The best nostalgia, 'piecrust' tires out there. Another good alternative would be a set of M&H Racemasters which are DOT, really sticky and pretty nostalgic-looking in their own right. The 275/60-15 is a great size and Coker and even Jegs sells them. M&H's are what I put on the rear of my current Biscayne. They look great.
