1972 California Inspection Sticker location?

I just recived my reproduction 1972 inspection sticker for my California delivered Trans AM. It will be a while before I put it on.

Does anyone know what side of the windshield they were originally applied to back in 1972? - the top center, driver's side bottom, passenger side bottom of windshield, etc?

He also made me an exact repro of the 1970 New Jersey inspection sticker for my Charger (which went on the passenger side bottom of the windshield, per my old vintage mechanic buddy who used to do inspections back then).
