I have a matching full set of 5 black painted 14 x 7 steel wheels that were original to a '69 Pontiac Grand Prix. The stamp codes around the valve stem read: K-1-9...(valve stem hole)...21 IF. These are in excellent shape with good lug holes and no damage. They still have tires on them and will need to be picked up at my residence near Sacramento CA, sorry no shipping.

Price is $500

email or call if interested. Can email pictures if needed.

Thanks,
Grant

Please note: Regarding the stamp codes on these, I thought it was odd that there were no month stamp numbers visible. After just now washing them off for the first time there appears to be a number 1 right on the very edge of the stem hole under the lip of the valve stem on two of them. The other three have nothing there and the year stamp was closer to the stem hole on these. It is possible that the month stamp was originally where the stem hole is now? Were the stem holes drilled after the stamping?

Thanks,
Grant

Grant, I think your right about the missing month code. I have a set of 5-spokes on my '70 Z-28 that are missing the month on three. As for the other two, one has a 3 half way cut off, but you can still make it out, and one just the left tips of the 3 are visible. The "day" codes, on the opposite side of the valve stem, are 15 on three and 18 on the other two that have the partial 3's. The car is a 2nd week of April build, so I assume the three that are missing months were also March but were completely stamped out with the hole.

That is interesting. These wheels are the only ones I can recall being stamped like this, not that I go around checking every wheel I see. Had I not bent the valve stem over, I wouldn't have seen the number 1 month stamp on two of them.

I had a Sno runner, one of the most dangerous gas powered mechanical devices ever made. A LOT of people broke A LOT of bones on those things. I had to get rid of it before my Kids got it

Once the wheels are boxed, weighed & measured, try contacting Greyhound bus.If they have room in the belly of a bus from him to you,the fee is minimal, just pick up at a depot near you.I did this with a station lighter recently.

Also try http://www.unishippers.com
They take bids from truckers running a similar route, and if they have room, they submit their lowest bid to unishippers.
Unishippers is a really great network, that takes bids from drivers looking to supplement their income.
I was quoted $320 to have a gas pump shipped to me ~via Roadway over 10 days.
Unishippers found a local trucker running the same route from the pump to my house for $85,taking just 3 days.

I would think you could get some wheel boxes from a local tire shop or dealership...take the tires off, box 'em up and ship them. I have shipped lots of wheels using that type of box...no problems.

Not trying to start truoble, but I'v seen this a million times. Why try selling something on the internet, that goes all over the country, if you're not willing to ship it.
