I know it's a clone but appears to be done fairly well but looking for some feedback from members here. Thanks for the help. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...alenotsupported (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150350057492&viewitem= &_trkparms=tab%3DWatching&salenotsupported)

Anyone seen or know of the car?

Looking at his seller feedback, he has sold quite a few cars in the past and has had very happy buyers. Looks like a very nice car. The good tach with the pontiac taped over has to go though.

If you decide you want this car, you should be able to get a decent price on what appears to be a nicely done car in the pictures. I would keep in the back of your mind the difficulty in selling it down the road if you choose to. A clone, done in that color with those graphics will have a very, very small resale market. Personally, I would pull off all the Yenko stuff, re-spray the color and you would have a really nice street car.

I'm no expert but, the one thing that really jumps out at me is the way the firewall is painted; I would definitely need to correct that and I'd have to find a 12 bolt for it.

I really appreciate the feedback and thoughts! Any ideas of what it "should" be worth (fair price), in todays' market?

The car is very nice, It is not GM-YENKO correct but a very very nice clean car, To build the car just in parts and a start car would be in the thirtyish range, To put a value on this car is very hard, You can buy a new car for 30K that wont be worth crap in the next two years or you could buy something like this, I have no clue what the owner places the value at, But the value reflects on the beholder and the potential owner, my guess is you could buy it for a fraction of having it built! Real born with ultra rare car's are cool but to enjoy not... A car like this you can place in value as purchasing a newer car but drive and enjoy and as long as kept clean will always hold its value, even go up....

In this economy, I'd be extremely careful to make educated purchases that are based on research and not emotion. I think we all know how our emotions can thrill us into overpaying for a car! I think the biggest downer about this car is it being a 1971. Even the originals can just be looked at as "a 350 Nova" and they just don't have the allure of say, a 427 Camaro. Clone or not, in the end, it is just a 350 Nova. Lot's of 'em out there. I think the deal killer for me would be getting tired of being asked if it's real of not and then being 'educated' by 'experts' at every cruise night about what's right and wrong about the car.

What's wrong with "overpaying"? The idea is to have fun right? People overpay for new cars all the time as stated above. I agree, it is nice to get a good deal but not always necessary if the goal is to have a good time.

Over the last few years this seller has had some nicely done muscle cars http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif( I think so ) and he does seem to have happy customers. I have noticed in the past the garage and driveway shown in these pictures had his location near Atlanta, GA. Maybe he moved. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Bill, again thanks to all for the feedback and observations. The comments are greatly appreciated. I think I will hold off for now. Nice looking car but I'm not tremendously excited about it.

What does the 'swirl polish' in regard to the heads mean??

Where he says "Heads are 041 and 'swirl polished' is he talking about some new GM technology or merely some cosmetic touch? Any ideas? If the swirl polishing he refers to is in the intake runner how was it done and does GM still use the process? I haven't heard that term since the 70s!

I would think swirl poishing would refer to the valves.

So the back of the intake valve would be machined in a way that would swirl the intake charge? Makes as much sense as anything else! Now I've got to find a picture of one of those valves just to satisfy my curiosity! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

I got it! Swirl technology refers to the back of the intake valve and not the head itself. Thanks.
