I'm sure many have had this happen. At some point the TCS temp lead dropped down on my header and melted the gray connector. Now I need to connect it up. Anyone have a source for the connector (2 prong L shaped) only? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Happened to me too D. One of our good friends here bailed me out with a piece from an old wiring harness he happened to have in his stash. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif
They're easy to change when you find one.

-----Darren,,,I have a huge amount of old harnesses taken out of cars. If you can send me a picture of the melted one I can look around on my harnesses. If I have it its yours..........Bill S

Rick,
Have a extra one you can spare for a 70 L34 Nova. One of the past owners cut the end off and rolled the wire up. Mark

-----Mark,,,Same goes for you. If someone will post a pic I am sure I have one. I will cut the wire as far up as I can so you can join it some where that it would be hidden........Bill S

http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Who knows. Probably a Chevelle vs. Camaro thing like you say. Mine melted a couple of years ago and Don Stowers donated a replacement, but my original one was definitely brown. And I just replaced the outer housing. The wire and terminals were never removed.

Brown would be original. You'll find the same differences on the front wiring harness for the headlights. Great pics DC, thanks!

Darren, sorry for the confusion. I miss understood your post and did not realize you were looking for an OEM terminal end when you asked for the grey one. I have extra grey ones as I always remove these from the reproduction harnesses and replace them with the customer's original brown one when doing a restoration. Sorry bout that. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

FYI: Schonye's pix that he forwarded to me of his original TCS switch L-connector are gray for a '70 Deuce. My repro engine bay harness for my Deuce is also gray.

Grey is fine with me. That is what I was expecting anyway. Can't imagine many would have originals laying around anyway.. I'm good. Heck, I'll paint it brown. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
