Hi Guys,
I entered and was accepted into the Greenwich Concours show with my Corvette. A couple of my friends entered and were accept too. Concours shows are not really for our kind (muscle cars that is), but with a day dedicated to American Cars, I felt like the event would promise a different sort of fun.
The three of us took home awards. It was a nice day, beautiful weather, and we got some new hardware to display. All in all, lots of fun.

289 Cobra. Who would have thought there would be two identical 289 Cobras, colors, options etc.
This was the class winner:

Glad to see some pics! Thanks! I was accepted too but I couldn't make it due to some work commitments. Looks cool!

Jeff, your guess is as good as mine. The judging criteria was based on how the car sat. Not interior, under car or under hood judging. From what I gathered, the car is to be judged for the beauty of the make/model.
It's Day-2 twin:

it had headers and some cool exhaust.

Looks like a nice venue and some great cars. That white 69 or 70 Shelby looks familiar...did Stefano or someone on this site have it for sale recently?

for some reason I dont think I have ever seen a pic of this car, anyone know why he added the roof running lights back in the day?

Roof lights were used to identify the car at night and to signal the pits you were coming in next lap. Different combinations having different meanings.

Bud, the car was campaigned by Don Yenko/John Bushell. It is the real deal and the owner has amassed some amazing paperwork and photos authenticating its province. This car actually had two numbers (depending on the class) and is most known for its time under the name "Golden Goose." The lights on the top of the car were for the pit stops. Each light had a different meaning (tires, gas, etc). It is 99% complete after a 5-6 year restoration. We need NOS Blue Streak tires and some other minor Z06 related items.
Thanks for the compliments Sam. Means a lot coming from a guy like yourself with the collection you have.
Later,
Dan
