I have a nice pair of "motion" style valve covers on my L78 motor. The holes in these valve covers are the standard 1.25 inch, however they have additional square notches set 180 degrees apart. I've found these to be a little leaky with regular grommets in them.

Does anybody have / make the correct grommets that will cover and seal these notches? I need one for a PCV (.75 inch ID) and one for a breather (1.00 in ID).

Any help is appreciated!

Sam, I just delt with the same problem on a set of M/T, best I came up with was some carefully applied black rtv, looks fine and to the normal eye they dont see the cutouts, best part no more dribble from the crack. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Sam, I think those cutouts are for the ears on an oil fill cap...I'll double check mine. They also make some old stlye breathers that have tabs to fit those slots...I think I have an extra if you need one.
