Karen and I went to Wally World today....needed a new disposable coffee maker http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Thought I would also get a new American Flag for the front porch...customer service said "we don't sell them"...

shame on me for buying the Mr. Coffee gizmo(probably made somewhere we wouldn't live)

embarrassed..wilma http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

I had a hard time finding an American made coffee pot. Bunn is about the last one. Even the one I did buy had the pot made in China. I sent it back to them with a letter explaining they advertised it as being American made. There response was "the machine is made here, but not the pot". They refunded all my money. I drug my 25 year old GE back out. It leaks a little, but still works fine.

Here's a bit of info off the net...not sure what's true or where the carafes are made?.

Coffee Brewers made outside China:

Aero Press - U.S.
Bodum - Mostly Europe, but check individual model
Braun - Czech Republic and Germany
Bunn-O-Matic - U.S. and Canada
Chemex - Germany and Taiwan
Eva Coffee Brewer - Denmark
Krups (Moka model) - France, discontinued by still widely available
Melitta 10-cup manual - made in Canada
Technivorm - Holland

walmart does indeed sell American flags,. In fact mine has a little section dedicated to them. Little flag lights, small flag on sticks, larger flags, and jumbo flags with 5' poles. Most of the flags are US made too:)

The flag dept is right next to gardening in ours,
as far as coffee pots, right on down to cabellas for a campfire percolator, or as we call it, Mr. Eastwood.
