Great looking car Tom! Thanks for the opportunity to photograph it before the show. What a great "Grand Finale" for this year's Special Collection.

Tom, the earliest I will have it done and the COPO book done will be in the fall of 2010. It's going to take a while to put these 2 books together. Pete

Nice chatting with both of you at the show, and nice meeting your wife, Dr. Pete. I still think you may sell more books if you have her run the booth! (just kidding!)
Tom; your car was standing tall in the Special Collection and we are honored to have you join us at the MCACN show.

Two amazing original cars. I got to crawl under the 6,200 mile yellow L71 and it's one of the best I've ever seen.

Tom, Your car looks really nice across from that new 2010 Corvette Grand Sport. I still think your big block L-88 pumps out more power than that LS3!

Yeah, but not as much as the new ZR1, or this ZL1

Tom,
Second design L88s will put out slightly more power than a ZL1. Those engines have all the improvements of the ZL1 ie. holley double pumper carb, open chamber heads, stronger rods bolts and revised camshaft. The only difference is the short block material and the iron block was better for HP than the aluminum block was. As for the new ZR1, it only took 40years and a power adder to do it.

Steve , That would be a good race
And Yeah it took 40 years to make the new king of the hill, In H.P. only, http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

Steve, ya gotta love those open chamber L88's! Was'nt one clocked at 220 mph down the Mulsane straight in 1972?
Paul, whatever the speed was, it was well over 200mph which is simply incredible considering that it happened nearly 40 years ago! The open chambered L88s are truly the king of the musclecar era although my opinion is biased http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
