Hi
It been some time and let me tell you I have been throw a lot since April
When I last talked to you I was told that I was a diabetic and has to much Iron in my blood
And liver cancer But then they went to sure. Every test they did in Einstein hospital came back normal yet these Drs claimed that there was a lot of problems with me
Well last month I had enough and found a new primary Dr witch had me see a new Blood Dr in Frankford hospital
Witch worked out great because his office was next door to the surgeon who removed my Gail Bladder 9years ago When I had that done they had a hard time because my liver was attached to my Gail Bladder
It was because of this I was told 9 years ago when blood work done after showed as fatty liver but it was nothing more that scar tissue
So when the Dr that took over from my old Dr did blood work it showed up I hard as I tried to tell them it was scar tissue they would not listen. Also they kept telling me that my feet going numb was all in my head
Ok so this past Monday the blood Dr from Frankford hospital called me and told me all was normal Blood Iron Normal NOT a diabetic and NO cancer what is showing is the scar tissue He also told me that the meds that they had me on for diabetes WILL cause my feet to get numb and at 500 mg It might be another few months before that all clears up it is getting better and also I never should have been on that med in the fist place I was NOT a diabetic so I had all my medical records transferred to the new primary Dr
And today we find out that when the Dr who replaced my old Dr did the blood work the lab has my name BUT NOT MY SS # http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif come to find out the problems they kept telling me that I had was some one else NOT ME part of me is so pissed http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif and the other part of me is just happy that I am fine thank god I went to see another Dr Thanks Frank ( flyingGnx) http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
The only good thing that came out of this is I lost weight Back in April I was at 238 and today I am at 190
Have been doing a lot of walking and in the beginning with my feet numb it was hard as hell in a lot of pain but I did 1-2 miles a day then last week I got a 7 speed schwinn cruiser bicycle My wife is not to happy with that she is afraid with my head injury I will fall off I did get a helmet and I live a block from penny pack park so I mainly ride in the park and having a lot of fun with it this bike looks old school I cant not tell you how many time I hear great bike it is like driving a 57 chevy hell to day I went 5 miles on it and tonight I walked a mile All I can say is I am Glad that this nightmare is over
Sorry for the long post just wanted to let you know how things worked out

Sorry to hear about the inept work of the doctors but very glad to hear all is well. Keep working out, staying in shape is the best medicine in my opinion.

Glad to hear you're still giving those doctors hell! I love the story of the ss# switch on your blood. Too bad the results weren't as obvious as my inept blood lab was when they tried to tell me my estrogen level was high. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think it's time to look for a malpractice attorney based on what they have put you through. (I am totally serious here).

George Carlin used to say that if there is such a thing as a "best doctor" then there has to be a worst doctor. They are out there.

Just a tip when hunting for a good doctor. Just ask the nurses who work with them in a hospital setting for a recommendation. WE know who the good ones or the bad ones are!!

25 years ago,my g/f's doctor told her she had 6 months to live.
she went to another doctor, found out she didnt have anything wrong with her.

her ex husband put a lot of bullet holes in that doctor's car.

The lesson that I Have learned is that it all up to you , you have take control of your body
If I just sat on my butt and felt sorry for myself instead of taking the bull by the horns only god knows what would have happen That diabetes drug might of killed me They did have me going nuts that’s for sure but I decided
To try to do something for me was reading as much as I can about what they said I had.
Then I decided I needed to lose a few pounds so I walked my butt off watch my diet really good . Then I got my Bike and just love the thing put 6 miles today on it and having a blast with it then at night I try to walk The best part is I am NOT on this drug any more and with all the walking and riding my bike my feet has stopped going numb before all off this B/s I never had any problems with my feet It was all because of the diabetes drug I just thank god I decided to look for a new Dr and it helps to take control of things your self today I feel great and happy I found out what really happen That lad that did the blood work and it was not even me so god only knows who SS# they had but what gets me is there is some one out there that had all of this surf and they told them there was nothing wrong
As fair a suing I will have to think about it but for NOW it feels great to be alive

youre dang right they do!!! i was in a dirt bike accident when i was 14. i smashed my left hand and completely detached my pinky from the hand. my bieffe helmet was in 3 pieces. after the accident i was passing out and having seizures for along time. i was sent to see this quack of a neurologist. he knew the history from the accident nothing logical EVER crossed his mind. he diagnosed me as having epilepsy, then Lou Gehrigs disease, then Parkinsons and fibromyalgia. when no of those worked he said i had the CHARI malformation where the base of the rear of your skull grows over your cerebellum and rushed me into surgery. well in the O.R. i HEAR THE DOCTORS SAYING THAT I REALLY DONT NEED THIS SURGERY!!!! But iwas alrteady under anestesia. i woke up to find this scar i now have on my neck and in such pain i wanted to die. after this "MIRACLE" surgery that was supposed to make life great again i started passing out again. so the put me on tegratol and depakote i was so dragged down from the drugs and as an added bonus my thick hair started falling out i was around 16 at this time. i was gonna kill this guy. even know if i see him out and i go his way he beats feet the other to get out of my path. it was 2 years later that a female doctor just out of med school contacted me and wanted to know if she could review my case i let her and she diagnosed me as having a severe concussion. i probably should have had brain damage but i didnt . thank god. i took meds for two months and never again had problems

Have you ever wondered why a Doctor's business is called a 'practice'. Doctor's bury their mistakes, others die by theirs.
