Hey everyone,

Has any reasearch been done to show the percentage of 1968 Camaro's that were built with A/C?

Thanks,

According to Chevrolet records, out of 230,300 possible 1968 Camaros that coulda received it,35,866 did @ a cost of $360.20 each. That equals roughly 15.5% of their assembly line production.
That doesn't include any dealer A/C units added on in the Service Dept. after taking delivery.

Tony, you really need to spend some time on the CAMARO RESEARCH GROUP (http://www.camaros.org/index.shtml).

Hey Ed,

Thanks for the note. I used to spend plenty of time over there.

I just got excited and forgot the check my White Book to see what my new 9A 68 V8 shell of a car that I procured from behind a barn on a farm. From the fuzzy pictures, it is an A/C car, console, power steering...that's all I can tell of the car so far. I'll be inspecting it a lot closer in about a week.

Tony, I figured as much, but with so much information on our site, sometimes it gets difficult to find. Even I have problems sometimes!!

when your new car shows up, please send me the VIN and a picture of the trim tag so I can add it to the database. A few pictures of the car would also be welcome.

Thanks
Ed
