I would find an original in nice shape or have an original restored. JMO Sammy P.S. Ask Sam "Mockingbird" Griffith, he is a radiator cap collector! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
Me too.

One of the fellas 'round here encouraged me to use windex and 0000 steel wool and it worked real nice. (my windex had some vinegar in it which I think help cut thru the gunk and corrosion quicker. Top left is my original and bottom right is repro. There are differences:

Dewitt makes one that looks pretty good, but, is easily detectable from originals.

I had purchased one from Paragon and sent it back. I ended up finding an original and and cleaned it up.
