Brian is the shaft tapered in before it enters the clutch??

This is the same fan clutch that is on the gibb novas. I was told it wasn't because of the tapered shaft,but I looked at Helen Gibbs car & Annie H's car over the weekend & both have the same tapered shaft & both I'm sure have the org. fan and clutch.

Boy..this is good to know..I honestly didnt know the difference between big block or small block as far as these clutches are conserned..I was told by a corvette "EXPERT" the difference pertaining to the shaft..I guess this blows that theory out the window...Mike.
