Not sure where I even got this from... found it in my parts stash today while digging for something else. Looks like a 772 fan, but I can find no numbers on it anywhere. The clutch has a "CH" ink stamp on the front... What is it? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Joe, That is a 772 fan. GM used 2 different suppliers for these fans. One has the part # and date code, the other does not have any part # or date stamp. If you remove the clutch from this fan it should have an H and the word FRONT stamped on the hub section under the clutch. Fairly common actually and because of no date code can be used on anything that would have used a 772 fan. Not sure on the CH clutch usage, but that style clutch was primarily pre 1970.

I've never seen that design in a Camaro after 68.

You're speaking on the clutch not the fan, correct?

While we are on the fan clutch subject. Can anyone determine what an Eaton CO unit would be used for? It came attached to a 772 fan.

Joe,
Yes, the clutch.
