May be time for Lou Pinella to get the ax? Some of these BB teams keep losing over and over again every year. Pedro Martinez, with his best years behind him made it a laugher last nite. Feel bad for you Chicago guys. Too many teams makes for watered down players I guess. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Yeah they suck right now. No team chemistry. You sign a knuckle head to play right and a strike out king to play left. Your best pitcher is a hot head who cannot control himself. I hate the sox's but atleast they have it somewhat together. Hey now Sam lets talk about your Pirates. Trade every good player away. They are just a farm system for our cubs.

NOT my Pirates Rob. I am amazed how easy the Phillies are making it seem. Like one other member here said, Pitts. is a football/hockey town.
Lou needs a beer poured over his head.

I'd be depressed if I was a Cubs fan. No major league team should ever get swept at home. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/headbang.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Vic will get booed right out of Philly. He will never get a chance to try a cheesesteak especially in South Philly. He will be running for cover! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

eu•tha•na•sia: the act or practice of killing or permitting the death of hopelessly sick or injured individuals in a relatively painless way for reasons of mercy.
Seems to fit.
My definition of insanity: Do the same thing but expect a different result. This applies to the Cubs for the last 100 years. BTW, deep down I still would like to see them win but I know that it will never happen unless drastic changes are made.

The Cubs are losing, and we Chicago fans are supposed to be surprised? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Chicago isn't watered down. We won the World Series a few years ago, we were in the Super Bowl a few years ago, the Bulls make to the playoffs quite often, the Blackhawks are doing well. Hey, we're not Boston, but we're doing better than most other cities. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif
The Cubs aren't losers, they're just in a 100 year slump. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Fans continually trek to Wrigley Field & pay top dollar, year after year after year after year after year to fill the stands and watch them lose.
Why should the Cubs organization even consider hiring a winning team?

[/ QUOTE ] Exactly right! As long as this keeps happening things will stay the same. Remember Wrigley Field is just a giant bar. Most of the people are not even watching the game anyhow, they're too busy texting and talking on their cell phones or getting drunk. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif
