Working on best mph/et for magazines...I *supposedly* have a printout of everyone's best et/mph that the fine folks in the tower gave me, but I noticed the list is missing some cars, and that the info isn't exactly accurate...so, I've poured through the several hundreds of runs, and now my eyes are crossing!
Anyway, y'all correct me and help fill in the blanks, please...

Barnhart and the S-10 of Matje (#357) might fill in some of the missing numbers too. And I think #11 might have been a '10 Camaro. How about BKH? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

That's a real solid list right there! Does anyone know if that's the record for amount of cars we've had at the track? It sure seemed like it while watching.

We were late rolling into Collinsville, approx 1 am Friday morning.
We were having transmission issues with the 001 Stage III Camaro before we left and just did not have time to install the new Nickeyized trans into the car.
My best run was the first one where I just rolled of the line and hit second gear right away. I still couldn't get it into third or 4th with out tripple clutching it and that run, killed those syncros.
It was a Mid 12sec run with a mph in the mid teens and a 2.0 60 foot.
Not much you can do with all that HP without a properly functioning clutch and trans.
Casey Wegner's Nickey went a best of 12.7 with a 113 trap speed, I believe.
Both Casey/Stage II N/A and Emilio/Stage II S were first time drag racers http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
All of the Nickey cars other than the 001 were on stock tires and the stock 360 or so rear wheel hp will overcome those tires.
All the Stage II Nickey's are capable of low to mid 11 sec ets, with sticky tires, cooler air temps and a bit of driver practice.
Congrats to Emilio. His Nickey Blackjack had the best ets of the day from our guys.

Stef: I was in the tower for your run, and could tell that thing was hurting...what a shame, though, 'cause I told the folks in the tower to "watch this thing mile-per-hour"...but then we saw it nose over and I figured your guess about the clutch was *unforunately* correct. And don't sweat the ETs, they'll come with practice...the mph of y'alls cars are there... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
As Rob said, do not sweat the ETs. As any racer will tell you, a new car takes time to get dialed in. A few years ago when we put the current mill in the Yellow sub, she ran high 12s, this weekend a 12 flat out straight out of the trailer.
IMO, you are ahead of game because you and the other Nickey owners were not afraid to bring your cars to the track and run them, for the whole world to see. Often times these types cars are built as collector cars, where the builders/owners boast about how much HP they have, and what numbers they should run, but that is all talk, as they rarely run them. None of them would have ran their car as you did, knowing it was hurt.
In fact, that can be said for everyone who raced a car on Friday, new or old. Hats off to all of you. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

#21 For some reason my second timeslip only had 1/8th mile printed. But they said the displays showed a 12.4x. My first run was a 12.5. I knew something wasn't right - and ended up finding a broken pushrod... oops lol. Thanks to the many people who helped me troubleshoot - you guys are awesome!
Luckily nothing else was damaged and the car was made drivable thanks to a $1.99 replacement from Autozone haha. I will replace them all now that the car is home. Although we only made two passes, I still had a great time going down the track, and a great time with everyone at SCR12!!!

Mark, I think you may have received one of the best compliments of the weekend when Mr. Barnhart told your Dad that you "passed the mechanic test".
That is one of the baddest cars that ever hits the track at the Reunions. A HUGE Thank You to both you and your Dad for bringing it and thrashing it for our enjoyment. Glad it wasn't anything major, ............. like a broken axle! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

That indeed is a compliment. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
Mark, hats off to you for not being afraid to jump in and work on the car, asking questions if not for sure what to do. All this in front of your peers. Trust me, it will pay off and you will have a blast along the way. Just ask Rob how far he has come from his first drag race. Back then he would call me, now you know who asks who. We still chuckle about how we took a 10sec Chevelle and ran 12s.
And Mark, SR, you are to be commended as well for allowing JR to tinker with such a rare and valuable piece. Kind of neat watching the young'uns mess with the old iron, right?
