This is the carryover from this thread (http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=UBB10&Number=412090&page= 1&fpart=1) in “Restoration” Forum.
The formatting and printing have been finalized and they are now ready for sale and delivery. Pictured below are copies of a repro, an original and my reproduction I just put on my car. All fonts and alignment are essentially dead on. The “underline” is the only thing I could not match exactly.
Special thanks to Rick Pauley and Dennis Cumby for their input.
For each one sold an amount of $2 will be donated to this SYC Board. I have a list of everybody who responded in that other thread, sent me an email or sent me a PM. I shall be contacting you in due course or you can respond again. Anyone else with an interest is more than welcome to respond as well.
The decal is available in the following configurations:
Original style (adhesive needs to be applied)
- With date of 7-22-58.
- Without date.
Peel off adhesive backing
- With date of 7-22-58.
- Without date.
Mailing costs will essentially be the same whether sending one or several decals, so here is the price breakdown which includes mailing:
1 Decal - $7.
2-3 Decals - $6 each.
4 or more - $5 each.
We’ll review payment details individually. Paypal, cash or U.S. Dollar International Money Order would be acceptable. Thanks to those who have expressed interest as it wouldn’t have been a worthwhile venture without it.

Looks great, Don. Well done. I think it's great someone took the time, effort, and money to accurately reproduce something like this.
I have a question: were these only on Chevelles, or did all GM cars with limited slip get these stickers? Thanks.

Good question Tom. To be honest, I have no idea what all models and years it may apply to, I would say Chevelles and Camaros for sure (applicable years I don't know). Since the original date on these is 1958 it would make sense the full size cars would get them as well (here again, not sure on the years). Don't know about the Novas, perhaps Greg can answer that as he has been working on one for them.
Perhaps someone more knowledgeable than me can jump in with the applicable models.
Hope this helps Tom.

This past winter I saw a 66 Chevy Truck, a Cali survivor, never touched.
It had factory posi.....the sticker was behind the driver's seat back glued to the inside below the back window. The only time you could see it was when the seat back was folded forward.
Dha...no camera... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif and to old to remember to use the cell phone.

Our COPO Chevelle didn't have the posi sticker in the trunk. They had to jack the car up to verify. With age they wrinkled up. The one we installed in 1998 is starting to show its age. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

So it seems like this was used on Chevy and not all GM cars?
Guess I'm wondering if I should have one on my 442. It has limited-slip.

Well Tom, according to Year One and Dr. Decal, the Oldsmobile format is totally different.

They came today..
The closest replication to the original I've seen so far.

First let me say thanks for the feedback via emails, PM’s and in this thread. That is really what makes the time and effort on this project worthwhile.
At this point there have been 67 decals sold and sent out. Still quite a few people who expressed interest in the beginning so we’ll give this thread a bump before shutting down the “support SYC” offer.
Thanks.
Top notch all the way Don. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

This “Support SYC” program has run its course. I am pleased to advise there were 73 decals sold under this program resulting in $146 being donated to SYC.
The decals will still be available for regular purchase in the future so contact me anytime if interested. Thanks.
