Pancho,
I don't know your purpose for the steel rims, but note, 63/64 steel rims are different than 65/66 and in 67 the still rim was a DC Rallye.
I'll keep my eyes out.

I am in the middle of restoring two '63 coupes. Then I have a '65 and a '66 to do next. All four cars have repro knockoffs on them. They look good but my intention is to restore them back to original. Thus the need

Those are the factory replacement wheels and not correct on any year but will work on any of the drum brake cars.I am in need of originals.
Thanks

[/ QUOTE ]Tom, I could use those 8080 wheels if the price is semi-reasonable. I am looking for a second set of wheels on which to mount radial tires for touring. Could you check on the price, please? Tex Timberlake

I have a single "B" code 15" rally wheel. I understand these are for early 1967 Corvettes.
I truly believe it has never even been mounted as it is in perfect condition.

I have one 15x5 1/2 that I removed from a tire tub years ago. It's dated Jan '66. I don't know if it was original to the car or over the counter - has a non dot tire mounted to it.
If the date can be seen with the tire mounted then it is an over the counter wheel as originals had the date stampings that could only be seen with the tire off of it.

Just think, 10 years ago no one would pay money for these rims.

Yes - the date code on my wheel is stamped on the inside.

Bruce, I love real tires http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drool.gif. I believe that your wheels/tires are for a 63/4 corvette. 6.70 15 was the size for those years. They went to 775/15 in 65. Also the configuration of your wheel is for a 63/4. Since your wheel is dated 66 then it must be an over the counter item http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

the 5.5 wheels that are dated 57-62 are the very hard ones to find. The do not have the safety beads on the rim, they are riveted construction, and the 8080 was the intended replacement for those I believe.

[/ QUOTE ] The going rate for real 65/6 steel wheels in excellent condtion now is 250 each.

I saw a 65 or 66 Corvette nos spare tire/wheel combination at a swap meet about two weeks ago and the rim <u>did not</u> have any nubs to hold a dog dish cap. He was asking $450.00 for it but I did not get his name or number, sorry.
