140 cars registered for this late fall show put on by the local ASA branch and the local economic development authority trying to get more people to this stretch of State St. in Rockford. Overcast most of the say and actually started snowing around 1:30.

Yes, it did actualy snow on October 10th. For about 30 minutes it flew pretty good. No accumulation, not even enough to make the roads wet, but snow nonetheless. Everyone standing around looking at it in disbelief. Evidently last year at this show the same weekend it was almost 80 degrees. Gotta love Northern Illinois weather.

It sounded even better than it looked. Between the funny car engine soundtrack and the wonderful smell of racing gas exhaust he had everyone's attention when he pulled in.
