I am using an 'air card' from work...so uploading is SLOW!

I'll post as many as I can...but the majority will be posted after I get back home on Friday afteroon. I also don't have the correct software on this computer, so I hope that the pics aren't too big!


I met up and hung out with Ken Tibor this afternoon... and we saw some cool stuff!

Yep, Street Rodder or Rod & Custom did a feature on the car a year or so back.

Just the opposite of what's done normally; they took precise measurements of the 'model' and multiplied by 24:1 to build this 'replicar'.

I haven't yet checked in with Steve...It would be cool to see him though.

I haven't seen the GMCI concept...I took classes for most of yesterday morning. I will check out the show more today.

Steve, I don't know about the pace car Camaro?

Jeez Bruce, you never built a Monogram Black Widow??? I built three and still have one MIB and one in pieces to restore. Always loved that kit. Real rubber tires on the originals.

Looks like a Detroit 12-71 diesel but the bug catchers have me a bit confused - unless they're just for decoration. They are nomally direct-injected with unrestricted intake airflow. The Detroit 12-71 diesels came with two 6-71 blowers, this was the original application that hodrodders took the blowers from.

Great shots guys!

Amazing how many of the same cars I shot.

Bruce; sorry I wasn't able to hook up with you guys. I was trying to pack a weeks worth of meetings into two days, and the hours went by way too fast. Had to get back to work on MCACN!

Not to worry, had some great meetings with national media and several interested potential future sponsors. The buzz about the MCACN show was great even all the way out there.

It was great to be stopped in the aisle when people read my name tag, and tell me they were planning on coming in. Heck...a guy in the elevator at the Bellagio even told me he has been watching the website and wanted to come out.

SEMA was indeed great. I saw all kinds of neat 2010 Camaro's and some that were, well...not so neat!

In regards to Vegas.....It's a great place to spend a couple of days......When you look at all the effort and money spent on keeping everything neat and clean....The "Sleezy" side is throw right in your face walking down the Strip......The people (I'm sure mostly Illegals) lining the street every 5 feet handing out the little cards advertising rooms visits from girls.....they are very annoying and at the end of the night, probably 95% of the cards they give out are laying on the ground as Litter..........What a "Shame".....Just my $.02 as a once a year visitor........

Reminiscent of the Hurst Trans-Am Camaro raced by Bobby Johns and Charlie Kolb in '67 with the Hurst logo placement like that. That car was gold and black rather than silver and black though.

Yup, as I suspected, the bug catchers are just for show. In the youtube video you can see they are locked open when it's running. They're just being used as air cleaners. Normally there would be a large cast aluminum intake flange and tube mounted over the tops of the blowers and routed to an external cannister air filter.
