Thats not even an original. Its an later edition. No "SM" stamped on the flat face of the cap, its a later release.

I believe it. Two people wanted it bad so they both bid a rediculous amount to be the high bidder. They just never expected that someone else was doing the same thing and got their bluff called. Now someone has to pay a G note for that.
