If you are a 70 Chevelle fan, I am sure you remember that cool old magazine ad that featured a red Chevelle SS, tied down with huge ropes.

Well...here is your chance to own one just like it.

Back in March, Stefano asked if I would return to Toronto with a beautiful Rally Green COPO Camaro that was originally sold in Canada, to represent Nickey Chicago.

This was an easy decision for me, as my Son and I used to go to this same show every year.

Anyway, one of my "assignments" was to choose a Nickey Chicago Pick of the Show, and it was a tough decision. When the smoke cleared, I picked a beautiful 70 LS6 Chevelle, which was displayed just like the one in the ad, right down to the huge rope and dock pilings! The car and the display were real stand-outs in a show that had lots of really nice cars.

Along with the Pick award, the winner also received an invitation to join us for the Nickey Chicago Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals.

Len Monson and his family will be joining us with this car, complete with the whole display and they will be offering the car FOR SALE.

Here are the specs;

Undisputed Canada documentation
Orig Code 75 Red
Body off resto completed in october 2008
Correct #'s matching LS6 drivetrain with 400th, 3;31 rear
Original body panels
Pure stock participant, runs 12.6 at 108 mph in full street trim.

Asking 95k Canadian, and he has all the necessary paperwork to transfer ownership at the MCACN show November 21-22.

Len Monson is the owner and he can be reached at (905)730-9621 or e-mail [email protected]

Tell him I sent ya!

Thanks for posting the pictures. I was planning on digging through mine, and needless to say, you beat me to the punch.

The car, along with the full display, will be at the Nickey Chicago Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals November 21-22 and Mr. Monson is prepared to transfer ownership to the next caretaker.

Look at the bright side Mark. Another three or so years and we'll all be able to afford a beautifully restored real LS6 Chevelle.

hiding money from the IRS in offshore bank accounts is easier now than hiding it in a 40 year old car.

This car was at the auction in Toronto and was bid up to
90 Canadian and the seller did not sell the car 2 years ago I beleive. You need to see the car in person. How about some close up pics of the motor compartment.

I have seen this car in person and it is a no expense spared, beautifully restored Chevelle. It is also no "show poodle", but runs super quick in the Pure Stock wars. And to top it off, Len is a totally honest and up front car guy. This one won't be coming back from Chicago. Marc

May I ask what's the approximate value of this car?

I would say the seller figures it's worth $82,500...he knows the car best...I'd say any different would be up to a buyer...no?
