Long story short version: it's become glaringly obvious that these original L60/15 Polyglas tires don't stand a snowball's chance in hell behind the 496 in the Chevelle. Even after two intentional de-tuning sessions, the car is still a complete squirrel at anything over 1/2 throttle in the first three gears, so in the interest of my own safety (and that of the car), I've decided to replace them with something a little stickier.
To that end, rather than sacrifice these exceptionally nice original tires on the altar of smoky burnouts, I've decided to put them up for grabs.
I don't have the date code info handy on them, but I'll snap pics of the stamp codes tomorrow if anyone should want said info.
One tire has a patch on the inside, which was there when I originally purchased them ~2 years ago from a well-known and respected member here on the site. In the time I've owned them neither has lost any air. Both balanced up fine and drive quite nicely.
The following pics should tell the rest of the story.

Asking $500.00 for the pair + shipping.
