How much would a pair of 1970 LT1 heads dated Feb of 1970 be worth? They have the small camelback's and accessory holes in the front. The castings are 186's with factory screw-in studs and guide plates. Used condition.
The bare block is a 3970010 dated sept 69, 4 bolt mains, 10 over. Don't recall the stamping on the front. Value?
Thanks

HEADS PROBABLY 400. BARE BLOCK MAYBE 1,000.

Only if the block has a desireable date and stamping is it going to approach that kind of money, and that is to the right guy. Prices have been down on this stuff, it isn't like it was few years ago anymore.

To be honest, I'd rather have a set of 1.94 186's vs the 2.02 valve version. This way I have fresh seat material, and am willing to pay for the extra machine costs for screw-in studs and unshrouding the intake valve.
The block needs to have a good date and good condition, Sept '69 is not too bad, but a bit early for a '70 Z / Deuce application. If it has a CTB/CTC suffix on the pad it will add value, but again, that's a pretty early date to have a Z suffix.

Depending on the suffix on the pad, the block and heads would also be correct for a '70 350/350 Corvete.
