I thought I would give this one more try before I put the car away till next year. I bought this 1970 SS396/375hp L78 Nova from Nickey Chevrolet about 2 years ago with 19,800 miles on the odometer. Stefano has known this car for over 20 years and he has information about it back to the early 80s. If you have been around this site for a while then you know Stefano's reputation and this car will not disappoint you. I bought this car to keep for a very long time because it is almost perfect in my eyes but now I would like to have another 1969 Camaro and my wife will only let me have one muscle car at a time. This car is in exceptional condition and shows only 20,400 mile on the odometer now. The frame off nut and bolt restoration was done before I bought the car and they used many of its original correct parts. The quality and attention to detail is one of the best that I have seen. This Nova is also equipped with a Muncie 4-speed transmission, power front disc brakes, 3:55 gear ratio 12-bolt posi rear end, multi leaf rear springs, 14"x7" 5-spoke steel wheels including the spare, original style white letter bias ply tires, special hood and SS badges. The car was repainted its original color fathom blue and has black interior per the original trim tag on the firewall. This car was restored with an original date-code correct CKO replacement motor and a date code correct 661 case Muncie (C-code) 4-speed transmission. It still has the original CBT coded 12-bolt 3:55 posi rear end. All the floors, trunk pan, firewall, rockers and sheet metal look original. Like any car this age it is not 100% perfect and still needs the right carb and a few small items. I know these cars well and this car is real not a clone but as with any car there is somebody that knows more than myself so I would welcome a professional inspection at my house. I have not found the original build sheet or any paperwork yet. The license plates and frames are not included with the sale of this car. E-mail me at [email protected] if you have any questions or if you want more detailed pictures (I have plenty) I am asking $42,900.00 but if you are interested please take the time to look at the car in person then make an offer.
