View Full Version : Vintage electric fuel pump

I am looking for an electric fuel pump like the one pictured. Not sure of the manufacturer. I think these were used in the late 60's and into the 70's. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you, Grady

oooh Grady...the rare Dupree/Walbro dual electric fuel pump...the Motion guys know what a pain in the butt\expensive these are to find...
Related thread from just a few months back. DIY type deal, but to find a set of duplex dupree pumps is quite challenging! I have an add which showed them in simplex, duplex and triplex configurations! I've seen hundreds of simplex ones, three duplex ones actually in the flesh and never seen a triplex in person.

there is a single pump on ebay. claims to be NOS...
I'm skeptical of that one.
Does anyone know of any OE applications of these pumps? I beleive Packard and Duesenberg may have used the Autopulse version of these pumps in duplex or triplex configuration. Anyone know for sure?
That pump has never been used...I've had it for a long time........just some info......Joe http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
I'm not sure Grady could have found a dirtier picture for refernce, but the duplex fuel pumps are the ticket. I don;t think just one of these would supply enough fuel for an 11 second ET.
As I mentioned before, there are some older Autopulse pumps which I beleive share some common parts. This manifold for example for a duplex pump confuguration.

The brackets seen in Grady's pic appear to be reproduced or available.

Hey JoeG sorry to cast some doubt on your item. I've had some unused 801's too but I've never had a duplex configuration apart to know if they are correct for them or not. I have to admitt, the in and out fittings look much smaller than those in the duplex/triplex pumps. Thoughts?

Grady http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif That's really cool Grady. I'll agree anyone who has hs these pumps still around (especialy in that shape!) will be able to tell what you need from the pic you posted. Both the car and those pumps are a great find, enjoy!
Maybe it's late and I'm not getting it, but notice how the 6v Autopulases seem to be run in parallel and those Dupree seem to be opposite?
Any comment on that? Maybe the motor is just clocked 180 so the housing mounts up like that.

Will need to be 12V as they came in both 6V and 12V (have examples of both)...not sure if/how you can convert to 12V if you have 6V.

I am aware of both 6v & 12v being available.
Thanks, http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
As with any manifold that has several smaller feeds the manifold and openings are larger to take the extra flow.....

I would like to thank Joe G, and the SYC. I now have the pumps that belong in this car. I now have to decide how I want to run the fuel lines.

Hello All
You know i have one of those Dupree type of pumps, it is not a dupree but looks identical, in either case it is in extremely nice shape and the plating is very nice , almost looks NOS, i will get a photo and find out the brand name. I would like to sell it if anyone is interested, i would take $75. plus shipping.I will upload some shots latter in the week. Thanks, Geoff.
