My friend Tom Sroufe restored this Nova and it has won 3 times at the Nova Nationals including 2009. I thought someone here might be interested in it. Ed

Tom is one of the good guys in the car hobby. He built the car for his son but, his son is more interested in racing. It's a realy nice piece. Ed

Tom doesn't have a computer (so, he's not a member) and since I don't own the car, I was asked to post it here. I hope you guys don't mind my bumping it during the auction. Thanks, Ed http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Why was the bottom NOT painted black below the SS trim? This car seems to be original 67 SS. They were painted black from the factory.

I'm not sure why Tom didn't paint it. I'm not a nova guy. However, I don't think that I'd chase it out of my garage for that reason? Ed

I relisted Tom's Nova on ebay. Everybody who called on it is afraid to come up into the snow country in January? Thanks SYC, Ed

Pussies!!! Then they shouldn't own a muscle car anyway!! Guess you'll just have to sell it to a midwesterner who's not afraid of the fluffy white stuff! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Nice car....good luck with the sale Ed!

I hear ya except I'm trying to get this Nova sold for my friend, Tom. Believe it or not, three different guys called and asked him if he would hold the car for them until April or later. Unbelievable! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gifEd

Actually I'm surprised that the car is still available Ed. I can't believe that someone would even make such a request and possibly lose out on such a great car over a few inches of snow.

Randy:

The Reserve Price on this Nova is $35,000.00

You know as well as I do that you couldn't restore this car for that amount if somebody gave you the car. So, I don't get the snow issue either. I told one guy in Vancouver that he could use Reliable or Intercity and he said he didn't think that the car would be safe on the transport. Go figure, Ed

I agree on the $35,000!! Worth every penny! I have been buying NOS parts for my car for 7 years and am at over 10,000 just in parts. If you just bought a Real 66-67 Nova 12 bolt, NOS Quarters, Fenders and a USED 4-speed console you would be at $8,000 right there. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Ya just can't build it for less. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/headbang.gif

Cool car,and a good price. Some time timing is every thing.

Dave:

Buying the parts is one thing. Performing all of the restoration, rebuilding the drive-train, sorting-out and shaking-out any issues, then taking the car to be judged, etc. Anyway, it all requires time, money and a love of the game. Best of luck with your car, it looks like a nice piece! Ed http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

Thanks for the comment. I guess it's a tougher time to sell than I thought. I figured that this Nova would be gone in a couple of days. Ed
