I have never seen that. It is a good thing and really is simple common sense.

The written word is easily mis-intrupeted.

I try to write like I speak. I capitalize words that I would normally raise my voice to make a point with. Caps are considered shouting on the Net so I think it is justified for this purpose.

I also try to quote who I am commenting back to. Many people find it erritating to have to see all of this again, but it leaves no doubt who you are commenting back to. I can't tell you how many times I am reading a post that is a reply to the previous poster and can't make any sence out of it. Later you some times figure out they are speaking to someone else in a previous post. It often is the beginning of a lot of unnecessary arguing.

I also bold specific parts of a quote of the poster I am speaking back to if that is the only portion of their post that I am referring to.

I always try and identify that when I am making a statement that I may not have any proof to support my comment on as my OPINION OR THEORY.

When I make a comment that is controversial regarding the statement I try to provide proof of my statement of give a link to where it can be found.

It really gripes me when people make statements that they can not prove and expect people to just accept it, and get all bent out of shape when challenged on it.
