Its a real PHS documented GTO JUDGE with its numbers matching drive train or what some refer to as BORN with engine and transmission.Engine components are original also like the 7040273 carb which is priceless when missing.
Its kind of a rare color combo of Sierra Yellow with yellow/white/lime green stripes and a sandalwood interior. There was one just like it at Mecum a few months ago which the guy selling claimed that only 2 were built in this color combo. I DONT BELIVE THAT but i know theres not too many like this. And this one has air conditioning!!
I purchased it off a friend who owned it for 14 years and performed a meticulous painstaking restoration using alot of NOS parts along the way.NOS gas tank, spiral shocks, window rubbers and even NOS Judge stripes were used on the body. Its an Original Arizona car that was sold new at Queberdeaux Pontiac in Tucson thats still in buisness there. They hooked me up with an original License plate frame!!Like i said earlier Its documented thru PHS and I have 2 original Buildsheets from the car. Options are pwr steering, pwr disc brakes,Hood tachometer/Rally gauges,Rally clock,am-fm stereo,Formula wheel and factory air condition!
Air cond with a 4 speed is very rare in these cars and as Im getting older Im finding them more desireable to me.
There is maybe 100 miles on the car since being completed and it runs down the road great.Reverse lockout is hooked up as is the TCS switch on the trans to change the timing which still works. Its done that right. 65k or maybe some interesting trades considered. 267-246-6903 Thanks for the ad SYC. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gifSam is going to help me post pics later.
I have 2 sets of wheels I run with it. The original Rally II's with G70-14 Wide ovals and 16x8 custom made Hurst wheels with BF Goodrich T/A's 265-50's which reall makes it look tuff and handle much better. Tell me which way it looks better. Thanks again...

Extremely nice car with a lot of appeal. A killer color combo and the Hurst wheels would set it right off! Motor sounds real healthy too! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for all the great compliments on it guys. Its a shame that I had trouble getting the car to photograph well. In person it is a lot more striking. That color is not camera friendly I guess. After all your opinions I guess The Rallys will make another appearance on her. But I think That some goodyear polys are in order.

Don,

By the way, I have a chart that shows some interesting production numbers on all '70 GTO's.

There were a total of 452 of all '70 GTO's built with the (L74) RA III engine, (C60) air conditioning and manual trans.

Also, it shows that there were a total of 425 of those equipped with the above plus (N41) power steering.

I love the color and the looks of it with the stock wheels.

Kinda looks like this one in an old GTO commercail although the stripe is different and it's hard to tell what color the car is. The one in the commercial appears to have a '69 stripe. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

No I have not Kyle nor do I intend to But I did notice that you put it up for discussion on their board. You said you were considering it but you did not express any interest to me. I put the car specifically on this site only because I feel the car would be more appreciated by collectors here even though this is primaraly a chevy site. If you really do have any interest please feel free to call me,If not then Take care http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Sweet car, Don! Like the color combo; it stands out in a world of red and black cars. 4 speed with air is nice to have, too.

Good luck with the sale,

Well we also talked to the guy at mecum auction stating there was only 2 this color. We are in the process of restoring a Ram Air III convertible judge in this exact color combo. Also have all docs, and orginal drivetrain! Guess we know of 3 now!!

Im not sure hwo made those wheels. They were on a car i bought a while back and they just look good on any car that Ive put them on. Thanks for all the comments. The car is going thru the Atlantic City Car auction On Satuday February 27th around 1pm. We will see what happens there.

I just found out that those wheels were made by Intro wheel.
They are not going to be sold with The Judge.
