Well my son and I are going to restore a 68 nova together. He is only ten and I am going to help him do most of the work. I bought a Butter Nut Yellow shell a couple of months ago to start with. The back half of the car is real sold but it was a vinyl top car and it took it's toll on the roof. So I was in search of a roof and got a lead on a complete 68 Nova 30 minutes from my house. The guy didn't want to sell it but he needed the money so we worked out a deal. The car is complete! It was a radio delete car but someone put in a radio and did a nice job. To bad I always wanted a radio delete dash for a 68 nova! The car has a lot of parts that I will use but the car is to far gone for a restoration. The roof looks good, I won't know until I get the front and back window out.

The trunk pan is solid I can't believe the way the roof was leaking the trunk survived but the floor didn't!

The new 68! I now have three ash trays lucky me!

More pictures to follow: We will be replacing the whole roof or grafting in some new pieces. Also replacing the floor pans and I think we will have to replace the passenger side quarter. The trunk drop offs and outer wheel wells are in good condition. We lucked out; the doors are mint with just some surface rust. Both fenders that came with the car will need a little work but I think we can fix them. Over all it will be a good project for us. Our goal is for it to be done by the time he is 16 so he can drive it to his first show.
It will most likely be done before that so dad can have a couple of years to enjoy it. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif
