Hey guys, I figured if i needed to ask a home repair question, this would be the area to do it in. I have re drywalled our basement, and painted it, but now my old Drop ceiling tiles and track look very dingy and bad against the newly painted walls. Has anyone ever painted the tracks and the ceiling tiles while the ceiling is still up? i figure some flat white would look good. Replacing the track and the tiles is NOT an option. Thanks!!

Make sure you give the tiles & T-track a thorough cleaning first.
I just did this in a basement where a smoker lived, and found that nicotene stains bleed through later on if you don't.

I second the KILZ, but be sure to use the enamel and not the oil base. Oh and lots of fresh air!

the Zinsser works pretty good. Used it a few years back. And look it comes in two colors, white and blanco http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif[ QUOTE ]
