Excellent! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

I couldn't but notice the caption stating that this was the largest airship in the world at 246 ft. While this ship looks immense (and it's very cool), it's hard to fathom the size of the Hindenburg, measuring a staggering 803 ft. long, 3 times the length of this airship. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif The original Zeppelins must have been quite a sight to see flying over New York back then.

The ridgids were quit a sight in Akron too. Here is a old photo of the USS Akron ZRS-4 under construction in the 20's. My Mom said they were a sight to see for sure.
The airship in this thread @ 246' makes the Goodyear's seem small, there under 100'.

Very cool pics Ken;

I flew in one of the Goodyear Blimps many years ago while it was here in Maryland to cover the Preakness.
