In talking to a friend of mine who has a 69 camaro for sale. He says that it is a LM1. 12 - bolt rear no motor or trans (auto). What is a LM1? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The LM1 was an odd engine for the time, a regular fuel 4-barrel 350. Although only available through December 1968 they managed to build just over 10,000 Camaros with it so it is hardly rare. They can have a 12 bolt axle and a Muncie 4-speed. It is possible that the standard trans was the MC1 HD 3-speed.

Unless specifically ordered otherwise an LM1 would have single exhaust and drum brakes. Not really a performance engine but they seem to have a following.

Thanks to all who responded. Could the car have an RS configuration? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Thers ralley green or whatever its called in Louisville KY for sale..really a nice car,LM1, m20, 12 bolt, discs, deluxe white hounds tooth, is an RS with a white hockey stick....very plain looking very cool, hasnt been messed with yet, no spoiler etc, man its a cool car...all original except for repop front fenders, has a build sheet and POP...very cool car, like $9000..i thought it was a deal..very cool car, very solid..i havent seen it in 2 or 3 years, but am sure its still around with the economy so screwed up right now...I am surprised it was never converted to a SS clone over the years...
