I have a local car enthusiast and friend who used to own the above car and would like to know if the car still exists. I have had no luck finding the VIN on any registry so I thought I would ask here if anyone knows of the car. Any help is greatly appreciated and any information will be kept private if needed.

He sold the car to Sheppards Auto in New Berlin, IL in 1975 who in turn sold it to a worker at Ace Radiator in Springfield, IL shortly afterwards but that is where the trail ends. When the car was sold it was Gold (original color) black stripes and had a bench seat. Any help is appreciated. TIA

Rick

any pictures of the car?

It would be the first Bench seat first Gen Z that i know of.
Kurt S might be able to help with locating it as well as if any other Z's came with a bench seat

Have you contacted Jerry McNeish? He keeps a registry of 67 Z's.

Any chance of getting a VIN off the car? I would think a bench seat Z28 would be quite rare so who knows? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif He did not mention anything about cowl plenum so I will have to ask.

Thanks Kurt. I am told the car likely is still alive but am waiting to get more information.

The 67 Z registry doesn't have any info on it either.
