Can anybody tell me if VIN 124379N673958 is a 1969 Camaro COPO? I heard there was an official list released a few years back of COPOs and thought somebody might know of it. Cowl tag is TR 723 61 PNT X11. Cannot make out build date. Something 'D'. Burnish Brown. There is no engine or trans.
Thanks.

Don't think there is a comprehensive COPO list. Some guys have a compilation of known COPO cars.

Guessing 08D on the build date. Mine is 671122 and is an 08A car.

I am not sure, but believe there should be a D80 designation on an August of 69 COPO, and is seems like most of the late ones are X44 D80. I am not a COPO expert by any means, so let some of the more knowledgeable guys chime in.

D80 code is the Air Spoiler option and not part of the COPO 9560 or 9561 option.

There is no Official COPO list other than what individuals have compiled over the Years (Yenkos, ZL1s and Canadian sold COPOS excluded)

Late COPOs ordered by Yenko would have X44D80 as all were ordered with the spoiler option. However, many COPOs, ordered by other dealers, were ordered without spoiler, and those would be X44. (or X11 if style trim was selected)

Look for other indicators of b/b....like tranny cross member, single fuel line, outside heater box, frame mounts, etc. An X11 with b/b from the factory, would absolutely be a COPO.

Also look for curved neck radiator, 12 bolt rear, front discs, etc.

If it has a few of these things, I'd be getting excited...if it has all, I'd be getting extremely excited!
